APEC-ACABT participated in the 2026 Autumn Economic Forum (AEF) and the 18th Asia-Pacific Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production (APRSCP), held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from October 25 to 28, 2026.
Held on October 27, 2026 AEF brought together international representatives from the public and private sectors to discuss emerging drivers of global economic growth, including the dual transition. APEC-ACABT team joined discussions on session of Sustainable Global Value Chain: Green Logistics, and session of ESG and the circular economy. Discussions highlighted how the integration of terminal green logistics, and digital infrastructure can strengthen cities’ participation in sustainable global value chains. Meanwhile, ESG standards are increasingly becoming essential requirements for businesses seeking to participate in international supply chains. Companies are encouraged to adopt data-driven approaches and circular economy models to enhance operational efficiency, supply chain resilience, and global competitiveness.

In addition, ACABT was invited to attend the 18th Asia-Pacific Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production (APRSCP) on October 26, an important side event of AEF 2026. During the High-Level Dialogue, experts emphasized that sustainable transformation requires more than technological innovation and policy support. It also calls for stronger business engagement, resilient supply chains, greater transparency through digital technologies, and the integration of circular economy principles, climate action, and nature-positive development. International cooperation and cross-sector collaboration were also highlighted as essential to strengthening the transformation capacity of SMEs and advancing sustainability beyond individual technological solutions toward broader systemic and societal change. At the afternoon session, Professor Shu-Yii Wu, Executive Director of ACABT, presented “Biowaste Valorization for Circular Bioeconomy.” Associate Professor Huang-Chih Lu, Senior Research Fellow of ACABT, shared research on “Advanced Electrooxidation and Biosorption Systems for Closed-Loop Industrial Wastewater Reclamation.”
Through these international engagements, ACABT strengthened its connections with regional partners and exchanged valuable knowledge on green technologies and sustainable development. ACABT will continue to promote international collaboration and advance low-carbon innovation and circular economy initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region.
