Representing the Indonesian Chapter, Dr. Ratih Damayanti submitted a proposal to APEC to host policy dialogues, workshops, and other APEC activities in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia, in 2028. Regarding the discussion on hosting the ABBS 2027 International Symposium, Associate Professor Helmut Yabar from the University of Tsukuba, serving as liaison for the Tokyo Chapter, indicated prior to the meeting that he would explore the feasibility of hosting the symposium with his university. Professor Alissara Reungsang of Khon Kaen University, Chair of the Khon Kaen Chapter, also expressed her willingness to host the symposium during the meeting.
Our side looks forward to continued coordination among the chapters, enabling the Steering Committee to reach a decision on the 2027 host next year. The active engagement of the subcommittees in proposing and organizing APEC-ACABT–related activities will further strengthen APEC-ACABT’s efforts in talent cultivation and expanding cooperative networks across the Asia-Pacific region, while enhancing our country’s international influence in green technology.
