ACABT has the pleasure to gather fellows at the steering committee meeting to introduce new members and announce upcoming events.
At the beginning, the committee welcomed new members such as Dr. Helmut Yabar (University of Tsukuba, Japan), Ms. Jail Ixel Cruz Garcia (UC-MX Alianza, Mexico), Dr. Sang-Hyoun Kim (Yonsei University, Korea), Dr. Dong-Hoon Kim (Inha University, Korea), Dr. Chee-Wee LEE, and Dr. Kuo-Chang FU (International Association for Agricultural Sustainability / IAAS, Singapore). Besides, several upcoming events were also announced during the meeting, including ABBS 2025 by HCM Chapter, ABBS 2026 by Seoul Chapter, and 2025 Green Synergy Training Program (2025 APEC YES Challenge) by Chinese Taipei Headquarter.
Besides, Dr. Srichattra Chaivongvilan, who represented the APEC-CTF/NXPO – the leading institution of the ACABT Bangkok Chapter, presented the organizational structure and the goals and missions of the chapter, which creates a dynamic, flexible platform that connects experts, educates the next generation, and develops practical solutions for BCG economy challenges while strengthening APEC regional leadership in green technologies.
In addition, the ACABT secretariat announced the updates to the center’s information. First, Mr. Michael LIU presented the new Terms of Reference (ToR) 2026-2029 that highlights the alignment to the PPSTI MOIP Pilot. Next, Ms. Renee CHIU introduced the renewed website, which enhances navigation, content clarity, and overall design. The website also features a redesigned official logo that showcases ACABT’s growth and evolution, demonstrating its ability to adapt and innovate for sustainability under the APEC.
